Dr. Dorta's expertise is in developmental syndromes (e.g., Autistic Spectrum), learning and attentional disorders (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD), and varied neurological conditions (e.g., Tourette's Syndrome, Epilepsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). He was an Assistant Professor of Medical Psychology in Child Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Director of Child Psychology Training and Senior Attending Neuropsychologist at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, and a Supervising Neuropsychologist at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian. He completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Buffalo and his two-year post-doctoral training at Children's Hospital Boston and Harvard Medical School in Pediatric Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology. Dr. Dorta has lectured nationally and published papers on epilepsy, pediatric psychopathology, and special education. His research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health.
